![]() "Alfaim" is pretty obscure visual novel, it has a badass opening theme and I had to make a YM2612 cover of it. Game called "Tug Of War" didn't sound too exciting at first but that main theme is such a feel-good addicting tune. Money, units of measurement, and whole names were adapted to appear more American and less outlandish. I also discovered more gems from Zain Soft (developer of Dios, which I mentioned earlier). Writing, or the translation really, clearly lives in a world of its own. ![]() Hacker, Marina's Room & Speculation are my favourite tracks. Just 3 FM + 3 PSG and the composer(s) get so much out of that it's insane. There are more advanced versions with samples and all, but I love the YM2203 version of the soundtrack. Carat has great music too!Įve Burst Error is another game with an outstanding soundtrack. Cynthia's Theme is one of the best chip tracks ever. I prefer the PC88 version of the soundtrack. Both PC88 & PC98 versions exist, but they're almost the same. I mentioned Metal Orange, it's a must have. I'll second that internet radio from first page and Cosmic Psycho too, great stuff.Ĭheck out this site also:, you can browse music by chips, composers, systems, etc.įinalBaton wrote:2 of my favorite PC-98 OST are Cyber Block Metal Orange and Carat, two Cybertech Custom hentai puzzle games whose music is composed by JKL Furukawa ^_^ Furukawa-san FTW!Ĭan't believe no one mentionned these two yet! Pre-released at Comiket 75 and released generally on January 9, 2009. Super Star Shooter (X68) - Not many tracks, but couple of them are very memorable. Im mostly doing this for fun and learning more about Romhacking. EVE burst error is an adult-oriented visual novel originally released for the. It's a puzzle game, not sure if commercial or doujin. It's all FM only.ĭios (PC88) - Recently found this, and it's really good.įerill (PC88) - I'm sure nobody knows about this. The main "suspense/tension" theme is one of the best I've heard of its kind.Ĭyber Block Metal Orange (PCx8/X68) - Melodic fireworks from beginning to end, my preferred version is PC88.ĭialide (X1) - Not so known X1 shooter, with awesome and technically impressive music. Marine Philt (PC98) - From the same composer as the previous, little more atmospheric. ![]() I'm a bit interested working with OPL2 too, but atm I have no way of recording from hardware, and I'd like to be able to do that.ĭengeki Nurse 2 (PC98) - First game is not bad either, but I favour the sequels music. That's some heavy hitting stuff! Really like the drums. Louisg wrote:Also, if you want, here's a OPL2 FM track (Soundblaster/Adlib) I did last year that has that oldschool feel. ![]()
